BEAR, based in Minneapolis, Minnesota, is what music folks might classify as an "indie rock" band. In this ensemble, songwriter Mike Behrends weaves outsider-pop tales of camping trip breakups, UFO sightings, stolen bicycles, Twin Peaks spoiler alerts, Mall of America avoidances, and other eccentric subjects atop an onslaught of twinkling electric guitars, bedroom Casios, fuzz bass, and chunky drums.

We've never opened for or toured with any bands that you might recognize. Our music has never been reviewed by buzzworthy mp3 blogs despite our efforts. And our local public radio station once said they'd play a song of ours but then didn't.

We have a 7" vinyl EP called Out-of-doors available on Folkmonger Records. And a self-released EP called Don't Fade available on our Bandcamp page.

In short, we practice a lot and try hard to put on a good show and what else do you want from us.
